Over 20 musical and dance acts will perform a unique blend of musical styles and genres, inlcuding standard Irish Jigs, reels and ballads, folk,world, classic Celtic as well as the more contemporary Irish Rock.

Headlining bands from as far away as Belfast, Ireland and Los Angeles, CA include: Black 47, Young Dubliners, McPeake, Maura O'Connell, Laurel Martin Trio, Kieran Jordan, Highland Rovers, and many more!

In addition to musical talent, the Festival will host several Irish Dance Troupes from greater New England and offer free dance and music workshops throughout the weekend.

Specialty vendors will see Irish and Celtic crafts, garments, jewelry and art.

Colgate Park has joined forces with Maplerama, a Vermont trade show for regional maple syrup makers and maple product producers, and is pleased to introduce what is destined to become a major annual happening: The Shires Maple Festival, intended not only to complement Maplerama 2009 but also to stand alone as a full, weekend event in Southern Vermont. For two days - Saturday and Sunday, July 25 and 26^th -The Shires Maple Festival is a celebration of not only the magic of maple but also of regional farming, fresh local produce, specialty foods, and fine, hand-crafted products.

An extensive farmers’ market with an array of bounty from mid-summer’s harvest emphasizing organically grown produce will be on display. Artisan cheese makers, bread makers, and specialty product makers will be present with items to sample and purchase and some other surprises. The Shires Maple Festival will have its own bar with a signature Maple Beverage and fabulous food will be in abundance!

Dear Vicki and Kate,
We hope this finds you both well and still enjoying the fabulous fall weather!! We wanted to thank you both so much for all of your help over the course of the last year and for providing us with such a phenomenal venue for our wedding day. We absolutely loved the way everything turned out and we were just so thrilled with the whole day and all of the wonderful little touches your venue provided. The fire pit was such a fantastic bonus and we and our guests appreciated the incredible kind (and creative!!!) gesture very much.

You both have been so enjoyable and easy to work with and we are so appreciative of the nice relationship we feel was formed during this year.

All of our guests could not have been more complimentary of the barn, tent, patio, views, etc. and it was so very clear that your fabulous taste is shared and admired by many. We could never have invented a more magical or wonderful place to celebrate the day of our marriage and we thank you so deeply for all that you did to help it come together so smoothly.

We had a wonderful time at our wedding and we wrapped it all up with beautiful weather in Cape Cod on our honeymoon.
